Director of Human Resources
Compensation $120k - $135k
Summary
Formulates and administers Cambridge policies, guidelines and programs including employee relations, recruiting, benefits, training and development, legal compliance, safety and workers’ compensation.
Duties
- Provide counsel and support to management in relation to human resources policy and procedure.
- Provide guidance and direction to Human Resources and Payroll personnel to ensure adherence to corporate policies and assist in their professional development.
- Establish and maintain proper reporting and tracking mechanisms to ensure compliance with all federal, state and local statutes.
- Work in conjunction with Cambridge management and the benefits broker to annually review health benefits to ensure best options and costs for annual health, life, and workers’ compensation.
- Oversee talent acquisition staff to ensure effective recruiting, selection, training, development, succession planning and onboarding.
- Coordinate and maintain the Employee Handbook updates and distribution.
- Oversee the administration of the training and development programs to provide effective corporate-wide training.
- Complete and submit required reports to regulatory agencies on a timely basis.
- Oversee employee relations issues.
- Oversee and manage the safety program, recommend policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of personnel and property. Investigate injuries and safety violations, arrange for periodic inspections and ensure personnel is properly trained.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Human Resources or similar major required.
- SHRM-SCP/SPHR certification preferred.
- Professional with diversified Human Resources and business experience to include benefits, safety, employee relations, employment law, training and development, talent acquisition and workers’ compensation required.
- Multi-state to include Oregon, Washington, California, and Idaho.
- Multi-site and real estate property management experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal relations, problem-solving, organization, and time management required.
- Project management skills required.
- Must be proficient in Office Suite
